Privacy Policy

What information Beheadline uses, why it is needed, and your choices.

Who handles your information

Beheadline is an independently operated digital newspaper and website advertising service based in India. This policy covers information handled through Beheadline. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@beheadline.com.

Stories and submissions

When you submit a website, we process its URL, title, extracted summary, suggested headline, preview image URL, and the headline and description you choose. We also retrieve the linked public X post, its username, links, and like count to validate the submission and calculate ranking. We do not ask for your X password or access to your private X messages.

Preparing a story creates a public share page before payment. Your published listing’s text, website link, available image, X attribution, ranking information, and click total can be viewed by others. Only submit material you have permission to share publicly. We use your website’s preview image for content checks and public display. Displayed images may load directly from the website that hosts them.

Payments and messages

Our payment provider collects the checkout information needed for payment, tax, and fraud checks, including billing and payment details. Beheadline records order and payment references, copies purchased, amounts, currency, payment status, refund adjustments, and timestamps to fulfill purchases and maintain their history. Payment notifications may contain billing or customer information, but Beheadline does not store full card numbers or card security codes.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the message and attachments you send. We use them to answer support requests, investigate reports or disputes, and handle privacy requests.

Visitor counting and clicks

Your browser creates a random visitor identifier and stores it locally to help estimate how many distinct browsers are online. Each page load also creates a separate random visit identifier. We store that visit identifier and its first-seen time to count visits, including repeat visits and reloads. While a page is visible, periodic updates reuse the same visit identifier without adding to the total. Online activity is estimated over the last 90 seconds. Browser identifiers recorded by the earlier counter remain in its historical records. Public counters show totals, not identifiers. These identifiers are pseudonymous; they are not verified identities.

For clicks on user-submitted listings, we record which listing was clicked and when, and add to the listing’s total. These click records do not include your visitor identifier or a profile of your browsing history. Redirect links add Beheadline referral information, allowing the destination website to recognize the visit.

Our servers and hosting providers also process connection information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver pages, apply rate limits, diagnose errors, and protect the service. Hosting logs are separate from the public counters.

Information saved in your browser

  • A random visitor identifier is saved between visits so multiple tabs in the same browser can count as one browser online.
  • Checkout details are saved for your current tab so you can return from payment and check your order. Your tab also remembers whether the newspaper delivery animation has played.

Beheadline’s own visitor counter saves information in your browser rather than using tracking cookies. You can clear or block browser storage using your browser settings. This can affect visitor counting or prevent the checkout return page from recovering your order. Clearing browser storage does not erase records already held by Beheadline or its payment provider. External checkout and linked websites may use their own cookies or storage.

How information is shared

We use third-party service providers to prepare website previews, perform automated content checks, process payments, operate Beheadline, and handle support messages. Information needed for these purposes is shared with the relevant providers. This can include your website URL, submitted or extracted text, available images, payment details, and support messages. Do not include sensitive or confidential information in a story submission.

Checkout information is handled by our payment provider under its Privacy Policy.

Providers may process information in countries other than your own. Public image hosts and websites you open receive connection information directly and follow their own privacy policies. We do not sell the private visitor or order records described here. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or needed to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims.

How long information is kept

Website previews stop being usable after 24 hours; this expiry does not automatically delete the stored preview record. Published listings and share pages do not have a scheduled expiry. Visitor registrations, click records, orders, and payment history are retained for their counting, publication, support, and transaction-record purposes. The current service does not automatically delete these records after a fixed number of days.

You can request deletion using the contact below. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations, payment disputes, or security purposes. Removing content from Beheadline cannot remove copies independently held by search engines, social platforms, destination websites, or other visitors.

Your choices and requests

Contact contact@beheadline.com to request access, correction, or deletion, raise a privacy concern, or ask about an automated moderation decision. Include a listing URL or order reference where relevant. We may need to verify that a request relates to your information before acting on it. Please do not send passwords or full payment-card details.

Depending on the law applicable to you, you may also have rights to object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, obtain a copy of your data, or complain to the relevant data protection authority. Requests about data held independently by a payment or other service provider may also need to be directed to that provider.

Age and policy updates

Our submission and paid advertising service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate. We will update this page when our practices change and show the revised date above. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate notice. See our Terms of Service for the conditions of using Beheadline.
